Frequently Asked Questions

We want all of our clients to have the best experience possible so if there are still some unanswered questions about any of our services, please don't hesitate to text or email us!

How long does my hair need to be? After shaving, you should give your hair 2 or more weeks of growth. At least 3 weeks is preferred for smooth results. If you’re worried about having too much length, you may trim with scissors or an electric trimmer with a guard 1 week prior to wax.

What can I do in preparation for my wax? Taking an Ibuprofen before hand can help to minimize pain and irritation both during and post wax. Wearing loose breathable clothing and cotton panties after your wax can also minimize irritation and discomfort. You may even consider bringing a fresh pair of panties to wear post wax if you’ve been active during the day. This gives your skin a chance to calm down without oil, bacteria, or other undesirables being introduced to your open pores.

Medications & Allergies. If you have allergies, sensitivities, or are taking any medications, please consult your waxologist. Antibiotics, steroids, or topical acne medicines (such as Accutane, Differin, Retin A, prednisone or corticosteroids) may enhance your skins sensitivity and susceptibility to lifting. For those who are prone to reactions, taking an antihistamine before your appointment may reduce histamine reactions like welts and small bumps (commonly mistaken for as acne).

Can I get waxed on my period? Yes! Wear a tampon or cup during your appointment and we’re good to go. Keep in mind that you may be a bit more sensitive leading up to and during your cycle.

Is waxing during pregnancy safe? Absolutely! You may be more sensitive, but the service is completely safe for baby. Start your waxing routine as soon as possible to make your appointments quicker, less painful, and have longer lasting results as your due date approaches.

When should I return for my follow up? Every 4-6 weeks is ideal to achieve the best results. Past 6 weeks could become dense and uncomfortable and less than 4 weeks could be too short leaving uneven growth.
